Resizing high quality photo images
Resizing high quality photo image files to smaller files (for exact size printing, Costco photo printing, etc.).
Often, I find myself needing to resize images to some specific size. Sometimes, I inadvertently turn a high quality large source image into a lower quality smaller image.
The following steps seem to be a reliable way to retain a high degree of quality in the resulting file.
Step 1:‘Resize Image’ to slightly larger than desired target.
Step 2:‘Resize Canvas’ to exact desired size.
Step 3:Cut then Paste the image from Step 2, adjusting the size of the image to effectively crop as desired.
The example in the image is based on the somewhat archaic Digital Image Pro, but some similar.
